Wow What A Year!

Wow What A Year!

Wow what a year!  Looking back at 2017, I can say that there were great accomplishments and difficult times.  I launched my blog on December 9, 2016, and my store in January 2017.  I did not know what to expect when I started my online store, but I am very pleased with how it has gone.  I never imagined I would start the year of 2017 with my first customer being a relative and end it with my first international orders.  My blog has seen such great growth as well.  I have to say thank you to all of my followers all over the world.  From Brazil to India, to Russia, and so many more places.  Thank you for enjoying my design ideas.

As I enjoyed growth in my online store, I had to deal with the ups and downs that came into my personal life.  I had surgery, I moved, and other things.  While moving means a new path in life, I really hate the process of moving.  But it is not as big of a down as many others have experienced this year.  Some of you lost loved ones and  lost your homes in the hurricanes, flooding, and fires.  My heart and prayers go out to all of you who have suffered during these tragedies.  As a young child, my family’s home caught fire right before Christmas, but we did not lose our personal belongings thanks to great neighbors who jumped up and helped move our things out while the fire fighters were battling the blaze.  Many of you were not so lucky and lost everything you own.  I can’t even imagine losing everything.  Again, my heart and prayers are with you.

In the year 2018, Corporate To Home has new projects and products coming.  We will be participating in a few community service and volunteer projects which will be discussed in future posts. We have new products coming and a surprise I can not discuss at this time.  Stay with us as we go into 2018.  Thank you for supporting Corporate To Home and I look forward to a great year ahead with all of you.

Spring Is Almost Here!

Spring Is Almost Here!

Well, my favorite time of year is very close.  Yes, I am talking about Spring. The warm weather, the smell of grass, and the pretty flowers sticking their heads out of the ground.  Spring is the best representation of birth and newness that I can think of.  It is a great time to add new things to our life, and our homes.

I love to have a yard full of colorful flowers.  I use to spend hours gardening, and hope to get back to some of that this year.  For me, warm weather makes me happy.  I don’t know why.  It brings back great memories in my life.  Winter for me is a time where I truly feel more of the blues and I just wish for it to be over.  I am a Spring and Summer girl for sure.

With Spring comes the birth of new products to Corporate To Home.  This week, Goat Milk Soaps are in stock and will remain a permanent staple in our bath and body section.  These soaps come from an actual farm and the goat milk comes from the goats on the farm.  I love that they are American made and small business made.  They do not come from mass manufacturing.  I have more surprises in store for you all this Spring in the bath and body section.

I know many of you love Spring just as much as I do and look forward to getting back outdoors for your favorite activities.  Write back or comment and share with me and others how you feel about Spring, and what memory does it bring back to you.

Enjoy the fresh made Goat Milk Soap.

What Is Natural?

What Is Natural?

A healthy body, beautiful home, and good food are important to all of us.  This blog has focused on these things by providing advice, recipes, and product options that fulfill those needs.  I will continue to do my best to provide my followers and newbies with the best options I can in each category.  We have access to many beautiful and unique home decor items which will be offered in my online store.  Sometimes there will be items that are limited in number and only available for a short time period.  Coming this spring the natural product line L’EWA is coming.  L’EWA is a line of hair care products as well as some bath and body products.  Most products in this line contain all natural preservatives like Japanese Honeysuckle, and the combination of Oregano, Rosemary, and Thyme extracts, which have proven to be an effective natural preservative system.  You will find that product lines like 100% Pure and Suzanne Somers use these natural preservative systems as well.  I have used the L’EWA products myself for quite a while now and am pleased with it.  L’EWA is a Yoruba word and it means a pure, natural beauty.  The most beautiful of anything you will ever see.

I created this product line literally in my kitchen in 2009.  I started with body butters and body and bath oils, and progressed to lotions and face creams.  Then I began making hair treatment products.  I would make these things for myself.  I would share what I made with my family and friends.  Then someone would ask me to make something else for them because they loved what I gave them.  It grew from there and I began selling my products.  Now It will be available to all via the online store.  This was a hobby I did to relax myself, along with crafting and decorating.  It was never meant to be for anyone else except me and my family.  But coming this spring you will get to enjoy the results of a hobby.

I have also used African Black Soap for years.  You can find black soap in the online store in the bath and body section.  The black soap I carry is made in Nigeria and comes directly to me from Nigeria.  This is true of the shea butter I use as well.  I do not use a supplier for this soap.  I get it directly from its homeland.  You see, my husband was born and raised in Nigeria.  I have spent time there myself.  I am able to have relationships with people who are wonderful at their craft.  Whether that be sewing native clothing right before your eyes, making shea butter, or making black soap.  I feel very lucky in this way.  I utilize my connections so that I can make sure I know where they come from.   That is what I provide to you.  That is what natural means to me.  It is not a word you put on a bottle and sell to people.  Natural describes where something comes from, how it is made, and how it is untainted by toxins and chemicals. as much as possible.

Some of you may ask how can you talk about decorating and natural body care.  Easy, there is not one person on this earth that is one-dimensional.  We are all bad at many things, and good at a few things.  I love to decorate and I love to make my own products. They both make me happy.  That is why I am sharing both with you.  But my main goal is to touch as many lives as possible.

I have seen viewers follow me since the first week my blog launched.   I have people following me in Brazil, and the US.  I have had visitors to my site from Germany and North East Africa as well.  I look forward to reaching many more with great design ideas.  I just hope you enjoy my beauty products as well.

Again I want to say thank you for visiting me and I appreciate all of you.!

Get Away

Get Away

I use to vacation about twice a year.  Then life got tougher and busier and vacationing was something that became a luxury to fantasize about.  But after the last few days  of my life, I have thoughts about running away. Yes, I said running away.  You can’t tell me you have not thought about it yourself.  I think we all have.

Well let’s just say I am in desperate need of a get away.  My place of peace and relaxation is the ocean.  I can sit on a beautiful beach and just stare out at the ocean for hours.  It helps me clear my head and organize my thoughts.  It also helps me feel peace inside.  My second favorite place is the mountains, Smoky Mountains, to be exact.  I lived near the mountains for twenty years and miss it tremendously.

I feel like we all thrive best in life when we have access to that which helps comfort us.  I recommend to anyone to always take time out of your regular life to relax and bring yourself back to a center point of balance where your head is clear and your stress and anxiety are reduced.  When we can’t take a vacation, then find someplace local to where you live to fill in the gaps between your getaways.  A local park, river, flower garden, or anything that can help you.

Why am I writing about this?  Because sometimes we need to remind ourselves and others to take a break and take care of yourself.  It is ok to feel the need to recalibrate.  There is nothing wrong with taking a break.  It doesn’t make you a bad wife, husband, or parent.  It just makes you human.  Go to that local garden sanctuary and relax your mind, pray, find that peace you need to get through the week.  I give you permission so give yourself permission.  Permission to run away.

To all of my friends and followers out there, take care of yourself.  I will be back later this week to talk natural beauty with you.

A New Year

A New Year

Happy New Year to all of you.  My Christmas and New Year were mostly quiet and pleasant, but I am happy to see 2016 leave us.  I have lots of hope and inspiration for 2017, and I look forward to what’s to come.

I have been working on my closets slowly, and when I could find the time over the last couple of weeks.  Life events have slowed down my progress, but I am getting there.  I am also working on a couple of new design projects I will share with you over the next month.

I hope everyone one of you find the joy and success you desire in this new year and I thank you all for following me.  I will have new posts every Monday, and I hope you will enjoy them.

God Bless You!
